    New Salt-water tank

It does not start by itself. Here is a good article for you to read through: Cycle your salt tank - Aquarium Advice Now the live rock can start it if it has some die off from transportation. I would start by getting a dead shrimp and tossing it in to see if you can produce some nitrates.

    New Salt-water tank

Did you add anything to the tank to start the cycle? Pure ammonia, dead shrimp, or ghost feeding? Is that live rock?

    Lionfish care

I have a fuzzy dwarf and as long as you get them eating prepared food they aren't difficult. You will have to hand feed as they won't usually feed from the water column. I feed mind bits of fish from the supermarket every other day. Also they get a bad image of being aggressive since they are a...

    My first reef

Nano Fish Liveaquaria is a great starting point for tank sizes and compatibility. I'd say a firefish and some inverts would look great. Of course you could just go for a 20 gallon as the cost and space difference is minimal.

    Its his fault

Ok so you have a 2 bulb t5 fixture and a marineland led fixture. It might live but that is pretty low. It does not look good but all you can do is wait and see.

    20 Gallon Build

"I do plan on the future of corals but not anytime soon. Does anyone have any suggestions on starter corals?" Start with mushrooms and zoas. Both can be pretty, interesting, and darn near indestructible. "Also for when the moment comes for the Clean up Crew what would you recommend getting...

    starting a 30 gallon

No to the Lion. The dwarfs need a 55 gallon minimum. You could do a Valentini puffer. I would get a skimmer for the tank and you most likely won't be able to keep inverts.

CL score-- puzzle in 300 pieces- 29 reef build over my head

Its pretty difficult to piece plumbing together from pictures. The large white tube most likely is from the return pump. My suggestion is to just start piecing it together and when you get stuck ask for specific help on that situation.

    5g Fluval spec saltwater

I have no experience with them. You can probably get away with a single 1-2" max size fish and some inverts. There are several gobies that will work.

"Salt" Start with a new 14g Biocube.

I'll second this. I have a inTank rack for my aquapod and it is great. Well made and fits like a glove.

    5g Fluval spec saltwater

Clownfish get to large for long term in a 5 gallon. Really most fish aren't too happy in a 5 gallon. I'd look at neon gobies or a clown goby.

Nano Reef setup.. First time going salty!

Welcome to the addiction! I'd say go at least 20 gal if you can. The smaller the tank the more difficult to maintain. The cost difference between a 10 and 20 is pretty minimal. The 20 will also open quite a few more fish. For filter your rock will do most of the work. You can also add a HOB of...

Cost of SW Tank set up?

Nice deal on the setup. Should help your budget quite a bit.

    Reefrocks.net

I agree with this he is really nice and I really doubt he is trying to screw anyone over. I have a feeling his business has expanded way beyond what he can handle. I do feel sorry for those trying to get their orders though.

    75 or 120 Reef???

I'd go 120 as IMO it wouldn't be worth it going to the 75. Have you thought about going with some of the Chinese led fixtures? I have a 32" from reefbreeders over my 75 that has been amazing. You seem to be on a tight budget and radions aren't exactly budget friendly.

Time for some more coral and fish!

Believe 75 with a decent sump and lots of rock setup for about a year is the minimum recommended.

Time for some more coral and fish!

The 2 damsels worry me. They may pick on anything else you add if they decide that tank is "theirs". I would look at the flame or coral beauty angel.

What to do with the sand my Eng Goby moves around?

My EG does the same thing from time to time. He decided he wanted a new cave last week so I came home to a 5" dune lol He has already moved the sand so gently moving it back wont affect anything.

    Questions about my fish list

No they need a 6 foot tank and will be stressed out in a 4 footer. This fish is THE ich magnet in the marine aquarium the last thing you need is to try and keep it in too small of a tank or swap out for smaller sizes.

    Questions about my fish list

Everything was covered pretty well above but i'll toss my 2 cents in: Coral Reef Fish: Azure Damselfish Skip satans fish! Bartlett's Anthias (multiple b/c of schooling feature) Very nice but I would just pick one schooling fish Blue Regal Too big look into the kole tang or Tomini Tang...

Cost of SW Tank set up?

Let me try and toss some prices up for your list here. I believe to start would be : DYI stand: This will vary depending on how elaborate you want to get. $30-$100 Tank: This will really make or break you you can't go new with your budget. Look to CL for a deal. For just a tank it should...

    High Temperature issues

That really isn't all that high. Fish and coral are more affected by huge swings or constant changes. Your MHs are like giant heaters so they are what is raising the temp. You can add a fan to blow across your dt or sump and should drop it by about 2 degrees. Your evaporation will go up though...
