Just another laterite question - does it effect the water quality, specifically water hardness (GH and KH!)? I cant find a clear answer on this. I have somewhat soft water from the tap and I dont want to increase the GH level!

Hey guys, Might be a stupid question, but here goes. If I put a layer of laterite under my sand will my corys or loaches dig it up? I am planning on getting a group of either species, but before I set it up and add laterite just want to make sure it will stay UNDER the top layer of sand.

do you mean I should choose either hatchets OR a different schooling fish? Are marble hatchets better than other common hatchets (i.e. silver)? I dont have any experience with this group of species.
