Two of my cardinals are having a rough time. Pretty sure it's Neon Tetra disease parasite. Their bodies don't look right. One has a small hump near the tail and the other just looks kinda bloated. I don't think it's dropsy. Anywho. They are in the hospital tank with zero parameters on all three...

Ok. So I tested my KH and GH in my 60. I recently lost two cardinals ( had for 8 months) 1 neon (6mo) and two new neons. All the rest of the fish are fine. (Zebras, yoyos, guppies, white clouds, cherry barbs and rummynose). My KH is a 4.5. Which is great for my plants and tropical community...

Soooooooo, I've got a new neon who is flashing bad. And he has a 'scrape' on his head. I checked my water and even after my 20% WC yesterday I still had .25 ammonia 0 nitrite but nearly 40 nitrate. Yikes. I did fert with root tabs yesterday. That might cause the spike. I did a 50% water change...

I did a 20% water change in my 60 after water test revealed a .25 ammonia. Also cleaned out filter pads ( shook them out in discard water to preserve the bio). Now it's crystal clear and my community is thriving. Also put root tabs under about 15 plants. I won't dose liquid feet this week...

Yes Caleb. I am aware. But for simplicity sake and less typing I just said 38inch per 60G. That's only 63%. But I'm at 85% per my compatibility and bio load (type of fish and their wastefulness etc). The size is part of the inch/per. So i don't count it exactly. But all my fish are about 1"...

Emptied out and cleaned my 25Tall. I researched further and cichlids are too large and need a 55min size tank. I also got my new coralife 48" dual bulb in the mail. Installed on the 60 and put the 2 24" ones back in the other tanks. I'm researching using my 25 as a Nano Reef tank with a 10g...
