    Six Line Wrasse

I had an adult 6-line for 9 months with a peppermint, never bothered it. He did pester my hawkfish for a day when first introduced. Coolest fish I've ever owned, very personable. I miss him. :(

    nuissance algae--very long post!

I know I've read in the past about certain GAC releasing phosphates into the water, don't remember the brands. Try this rinse the new GAC in a bucket before you put it in your tank, then test the water in the bucket for phosphates, It's worth a shot next time your do for a change.

    75 GAL LIGHTING ?

Yes I have a canopy - which is part of the problem the MH's would only be about 6" off the water depending on the depth of the fixture. I would definately put a few cooling fans in the canopy. I would like to keep the 36" PC and use two MH's I think this would be the cheapest way wouldn't it...

    Sump: PVC and glass questions

I think your 1/8" glass will be ok- Your overflow needs to flow as much water as your pump pumps. I'm not too sure about 1" keeping up with a mag 9.5. - PVC elbows need to be primered then glued with pvc glue available as a pair at any hardware- home improvement store. - I used 2" pvc for my...
