Oh ok thank you! Is that gravel you grow it in? Do you think it will be fine in my tank with sand and the type of lighting I have? I meant I could add a t8 tube of 30w if need be? I can add roof tabs if need be and I dose lush max sometimes

The sand is quite deep I would say about 4 inches Anyone out there that has had experience with these plants and can give me more information?

Hi yes it’s sitting right at the top of the tank I’m going to do a water change today and add in some liquid ferts to see if that helps it along

It is in a open top take where I have kept it and take the picture from I started removing some of the brown at the bottom and I got to a white bit which seems to me not the whole thing has rotted away and I do seems some fine white thread like structures but can’t tell if they are roots or not...

I’ve had a sitting at the bottom before but didn’t seem to grow at all tbh just very small leaves :/ Is there no way the roots can grow and for the plant to survive? Even if plant it and start adding some liquid ferts?

Thank your for the advice guys. As for lights off I have been doing that so far they are on timers and the next morning they are gone so I thought if I left the moonlight on they would be able to see the eggs and guard them better. As for dividers I’m trying to find something suitable and big...

I saw them defending the eggs when the lights were on they tend to breed around 9-10. And the next morning they are gone. I was wondering would leaving a moonlight light on during the night help at all to see where the eggs are and guarding them? I was thinking about a divider but wasn’t sure...

So what is the best course of action to float or not?
