Eurka I have found the problem. The pink quartz rock that I have in the tank is leaching alkaline. I will need to drain the tank and start over again. :( This time, no pink rock, :!:

Yes there is a difference. I am testing each and every thing that is in there to see if of my additions might be causing the problem. I haven't had enough time to check everything yet. I hope to know by Thursday.

My tank is only 2 weeks old but I can't seem to get the alkainity and ph down to acceptable levels. I do a 25% water change everyday as well. Any advise? I am only going to put some goldfish in to start with but I don't want to damage them with bad water.
