It's a little blurry (he won't stop moving) but he's about 6 or 7 months I had him in a 5 gallon by himself for the first 2 months then when I put him in the big tank he grew like crazy

Takes them about 5 seconds after they see them, be carful with bichirs. I got an ornate and had it in there and it died, although I know for a fact none of these fish messed with it. Maybe it was just different fish to mix I don't know

Name is killer, he's a wild warmouth I raised from about an inch to 8 inches. Never hides just waits for goldfish :)

Guppies are high bio load, maintenance is very important. But these people are right a simple planted Betta tank would be awesome! Get the Betta before the shrimp though I've seen bettas kill shrimp so make sure you don't have an aggressive Betta

I don't know what these other people are talking about, you can keep a fair amount of guppies AND shrimp. I had a 1 gallon with 2 red shrimp and 3 guppies and ran it just fine until I gave it away(5 months later it's still perfectly fine)

Look into internal filters, I have one on my 10 gallon and its no noise at all, I'm not sure of brands but I know national geographic sells some internals at petsmart

Interested in any invertebrates? Crawfish are perfect for 20. Then I'd suggest something like an Oscar or a red tail shark
