Thanks for all your help! The U tube itself isn't getting bubbles stuck in it. It is actually the "bucket" that sits in the tank that the water flows into. These bubbles do not apear to be causing a problem, but i wondered if they could have anything to do with the hundreds of micro bubbles...

I had heard that the air suffacates fish. But then i've read other places where people add air to there tank.
