I thought the same but the tan color and texture is kinda throwing me off. I hair hair algae in a previous tank and it seems to grow everywhere. Even in my filtration. This looks a bit different. Unless there are different types maybe?

Thank you much. Ohhh how I wish the plants were real. Sadly they are not. I don't have proper lighting or C02 for the tank. Someday I do plan on investing in the proper equipment to have live plants.

Just a FYI since you mentioned tank is up and running. I usually paint all mine with black acrylic when I buy them. Recently I painted a established 55. Taped top off well to prevent any splatter from entering tank. Anyway in the next 3 days I lost 6 fish that were perfectly fine. I'm not sure...
