    Angelfish comparability

I had to remove an angelfish due to aggression once the were adults. But just as Brookster said they all have different personalities. My one angelfish coexists with my loaches and Bolivian Rams. But could not with another angelfish. Sent from my SM-N920T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    This really upset me

The net showed how many parts per million (water to plastic). It may be the same show I watched. They sailed for 100's of miles trying to find these so called "trash islands" and did not find them. But their findings proved worse than they thought. Sent from my SM-N920T using Aquarium Advice...

Unfortunately there aren't really any trash islands anymore because it's all breaking down. Which is even scarier. Sent from my SM-N920T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Benifit of having powerhead in freshwater tank

Benifit of having powerhead in freshwater tank

A powerhead is a great idea! I have a deep tank and it's helped out immensely. Just find your "dead spots" (where low flow is and where all the debris tends to lay) and place it there. Mine is in the lower right back corner of the tank and points straight up. Fluval powerheads are great. Just...

    Powerhead vs. air stone

I have a deep tank and I simply use mine for circulation and it's made a huge difference. It's placed in the lower right corner of the tank and points straight up. Sent from my SM-N920T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Angel still isn't eating

Hmm, I agree with getting you water parameters in check. As someone suggested using prime will work well with water changes. When I first started fishkeeping my nitrates skyrocketed. I then performed small water changes every other day to get my levels down. Then I did weekly water changes...

Angels in a 55-stocking/tank mate thread

Angels can be unpredictable. If you buy them as juveniles they may get along until they reach adulthood. Just make sure you have a out in case one is getting bullied. I have a beautiful marble angel, he can be the only angel in the tank. I got gave away my silver angel once they grew due to...

Controlling algae in a fluval spec

How about trying the siesta then and decreasing your bioload. I had great success with it. As I said excel didn't work for me. Sent from my SM-N920T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Controlling algae in a fluval spec

Following. You can also try a break in your light cycle. It's like a plant siesta. Is sounds like imo depleting your CO2 quickly with your lighting you are using. I understand without getting to technical terms that excel may help with this problem(it hasn't for me). But by giving your plants...

Pros and Cons to a Sponge Filter

I've had a Fluval C4 for 2 years in my 55 and it's a work horse for sure. I have enough room for my sponge filter. Also instead of carbon I store 2 small biobags of biomaxx inside if a tray that you can conveniently pull out. You can also control the current like the aquaclear and it's skinnier...

    Moving fish questions.

IMO tank water is best. When I moved about a month ago I used 20g of my tank water. I even changed my nasty 4 year old gravel to sand. No mini cycle occurred. Maybe just luck? Sent from my SM-N920T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Moving fish questions.

I think bagging each fish individually is the best way to go. Keep your biomedical and sponges in tank water. Also try to keep as much of your tank water as you can. I put mine in 5 gallon buckets with tight fitting lids. Sent from my SM-N920T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    update with my cancer battle

Keep staying positive, that's all I can say. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and lung cancer survivor. My cousin is now going through chemo for cervical cancer for the second time. But this time it has spread to her lymph nodes. Cancer has affected many people's lives. Keep up, keeping up...

    Angelfish Pair Aggression?

You could up your giant danio school to 6. Also unfortunately your clowns will do better with maybe 2-3 more due to the fact that they are social fish. Just remember that with more danios you run the risk of spooking the other fish since they like to zoom around the tank. Sent from my SM-N920T...
