    Weird Anemone Behavior

Hi Have a purple tip condy. It has been pulling all of it's tentacles into it's foot until it looks like an oblong pink balloon. Has anyone ever heard of this behavior?

    condy anenome

I just got one myself and like him very much. He has been stationary since I got him a week ago (after finding the piece of rock he wanted to sit on.) The silly person at th e LFS was selling them from the same tank as the clowns, giving the impression they were good hosts. I was told to feed...

It was my understanding that the carpet is the natural host for the percula clown, what would you suggest as a proper host?

    Anenome with Purple Tips

LOL, I was wrong - it is definately a condy. So, will there be any problems if I introduce a carpet, bubble or saddle in addition to the condy?

    Electrifying!

So my husband reached into our tank the other day and had a sensitive spot on his finger from a small scratch, when he did he felt a small shock. He got out his thingamijig that measures electrial current and found that there were about 20 millivoltz (if i remember what he said correctly)...

    Cleaner Shrimps Active?

My cleaner is a clean freak! He cleans everything and is very active. When I add flake food he jumps around and gets very excited - he's very fun to watch and one of my favorite inhabitants.

    Flaming Red Clam

Well so far he seems to be doing well. I feed him with a turkey baster each evening and I'm crossing my fingers. :-D Are there any signs to watch for that would mean that he is not getting enough nutrition? I guess my fear is that I may think he's doing fine and then all of a sudden find...

    Gravel like Spot on Scallop

Thanks Steve - that was just what I was looking for, very informative. It really is a shame when the lfs will sell you something that has such a dismal life in captivity and not tell you. :-( I think I will be looking for a new store.

    Gravel like Spot on Scallop

Thanks Steve-s! I am finding a very difficult time finding care info on this beautiful creature. The interesting thing is that the gravel like stuff is building up then I find it on the sand in front of him. Is this a way of expelling waste? After getting the scallop I found that they don't...

    Gravel like Spot on Scallop

Hopefully I am posting in the wrong forum.... I've noticed a small spot that looks kind of like a piece of gravel on the front inside of my flaming scallop. Is this normal or is this a bad sign?
