Hi all! Long overdo update! Thought I’d post a few updated pictures and perhaps get myself motivated to clean up the tank and possibly add some new additions. Happy to report most of the fish are thriving. Achilles Tang now over 5 years in my 300! Sad to report Kenya trees are taking over!

Thank you! No equipment is under the tank so noise isn’t bad...just some from the wave makers. Sometimes they get a bit noisy like a dishwasher which the wife doesn’t love but tolerates. No smell.

I do a 50 gallon water change once a week. I started noticing nitrates and phosphate creeping higher than I'd like when I tried every other week. I feed them well so lots of waste. Good luck on the upgrade!

Ran it a few weeks without the uv and didn't notice any behavior changes. I did notice water wasn't as sharp and when I took the uv apart I found that the glass sleeve was covered in hard white (calcium?) stuff. A little vinegar soak and it came right off. Uv is back online and the grounding...

Decided to get a grown up magnet scraper finally. That mag float just wasn't cutting it.

On a better note, I've seen some great growth in my corals this month! Starting to work through backup systems for potential of El Niño here in SD now. Ordered battery for gyre and now looking at generators. (More fun than trying to get my money back from reef ripoffs)
