    I'm about to give up.

Where are you getting for fish from? I personally did fish-in cycling and had two deaths, but it was because they jumped out of the tank, not the water quality. Maybe get some hardy low light plants in there? Plants love the cycling process and i use plants and a couple fish to cycle my tanks.

Warm Water Alage Eaters - Non-Pleco

Hey All! So I just had to get rid of my 9.5" long rhino pleco, as he was too big for my tank, but also pooped so much it was killing my bio-load (not a good thing for a discus tank.) I am looking for warm water (my tank is at 82.5 degrees for the discus) algae eaters. I currently have a flying...

    Help with my water parameters

Keep going. Frequent water changes to keep the ammonia down, and eventually those nitrites and nitrates will start to rise, and ammonia will diminish. I just cycled my new 60g cube and it took less time than my 10g. As you implied, small tanks are much harder to maintain correct...

    farlowella

My Farolowella, the late Allen, was always out and about. I don't remember him every trying to hide to be honest. One thing I will say, they aren't the best swimmers due to their unique body shape. Allen met his demise by getting sucked into the powerhead. Love these fish!

    Red turf algae?

First off. Im not a salt guy, nor do I claim to be. My buddy had this same issue on his 100g salt. For awhile he just scrubbed his live rock and used his fish net to clean it off the substrate. After awhile of it not getting any better, he broke down and bought a protein skimmer. Since then...

    Help!

Alright, its definitely a cichlid of some sort. Im certainly not an expert with cichlids, however, it looks to me like a Female Paratilapia Polleni. I have a male at work (the only cichlid I have) and he is black with colorful specs. The females are known to be more pale, and considering they...
