Yes, I'll take some more pics when I get home. I only have plants in my taller 16 gallon but I'm sure they would do even better in the 20.

I was gone for 5 days recently. They were just fed a little extra the day before I left. Everybody was fine. This was with 2 African cichlid tanks. I did do a pretty good water change before the trip too.

Hey, no problem. I tried the homemade lights for awhile on my other tank. While it worked well it ended up costing more than one of these from ebay. I have no doubt plants will grow well in a 20 long since this tank is a bit taller. Honesty it might create algae problems!

If those plants are Amazon Swords they will do ok in low light. They hold up well in my African cichlid tank too. The plants love the sand.

I use poster board from Hobby Lobby and tape it on the back. Obviously less permanent than paint and looks good.

Yes just rinse them with dirty tank water when you do your changes. You shouldn't ever have to replace the bio media unless it's falling apart.

My mystery cichild that was identified in a previous post turns out is a female. She was carrying eggs/fry in her mouth since at least January 10th. There are 29 that I counted. They've been eating crushed up pellets for about 2 weeks now and are doing well!

Nah you can do this. Aqueon makes a smaller siphon I believe. Check Amazon. Regarding the conditioners; anything Seachem is good but their prices tend to be high. If you are using the API brand of stress coat it does make the water safe. I'll leave it to the veteran members to consolidate the...
