I would totally recommend a canister filter, their quiet and they filter much better then a hob filter.
If you're looking for a good affordable canister filter I'd go for the sunsun their sold on ebay they range from $30-$60.
If you want a hob filter that's quiet I'd recommend the fluval...
Yeah thats what i thought, i still haven't had any luck finding what these babies will look like. I guess only time will tell at about 3 months they should be mature.
Okay so the shop i got my cory at said it was an emerald cory (Brochis splendens) but they could be wrong idk. I've never said that their fry are hybrids and i dont intend to sell to any pet store either. They'd probably end up killing the babies with their poor water quality.
I posted this to...
Yeah i know all that stuff but i wasnt trying to get them to breed it just seem to happen that way. Right now its pretty cold here in texas so i had to put a heater in my tank and when i did the water change the water comes out cool so thats what happen.
Lol well for me it was easy all i did was sit there and watch, for the cories however it was tiring they were going at it for like 3 hours straight. I've had my female cory for about 6 months and the males about a year. I did a water change the day before they started spawning, i guess i did the...
:fish2: So mom is an emerald Cory and the dads are albino cories. The fry are about 2 weeks old and most are clear with strips, what will they end up looking like? I've googled it but I got nothing. Has anyone had this mix?
They seem to be eggs i noticed it 2 days ago and it was just clear now today 2/7 i can see these tiny greenish white things inside of it??? Im worried it could be a parasite or something. In this tank i have 10 snails and about 100 cory fry. Also the water is cloudy since i just feed the cories.
It could go either way for me at this point "live plants or fake plants" i have my income tax money rolling in soon so im ready haha. What would you suggest as a centerpiece fish?
Thanks deelee you read my mind. I have a lfs guy thats ready to order any fish i'd like in the tank. I've had guppies before but they all ended up killing each other??? Whats a good male to female ratio 1 to 3? Also what fish do you like and keep?
Hi chillie308
Im new here too but i'd suggest going to your local pet store and get yourself a bottle of live bacteria to kick start the cycle in your tank. Just make sure its freshwater bacteria not saltwater. Oh and it could also help if you have a friend or relative with a healty aquarium...
Hey deelee2013
Hmm my ultimate favorite fish is a ranchu goldfish. But for this tank i dont want goldfish since they produce heavy waste. Im okay with any level of fish i just dont want anything to large or aggressive, since i want a community type tank.
