    fungus?

after 2 days of the previously mentioned all natural Pimafix and Melafix treatments, the "bleach spot" on the tang is shrinking. I think it's working! I'm going to continue the treatments daily though as instructed for the full 7 days.

    fungus?

well, not much of an update, but after the 3-day recommended med period for the tetracycline gel fed to the fish, I have stopped and gone back to my original variety of flakes, veggie flakes, brine shrimp. Really, only the tang ate the gel anyways, so the clowns were HUNGRY. What I've thought...

    green spots on condylactis anenome

they dont seem to have... I'm in kind of a tough spot, because i tried to cut down on light to reduce algae growth if that's what it is somehow, but then the condy suffers because it loves the light. It didn't seem to help anyways.

    green spots on condylactis anenome

Spots are still there, 3 weeks later. It's difficult to get a picture better than those. You can click for fullsize pics though, if you haven't already. I'm just using 24" and a 36" dual bulb reflectors. Nothing fancy. I was told the condylactus was the only "good" anemone that you didn't...

    fungus?

Last week, I noticed my pacific blue tang had what looked like a bleached out spot on his top fin and it kind of carried down onto his body a bit. This was about the best pic I could get. I went to the lfs and they gave me some tetracycline that he seems to be eatin up. It looks a little...

    Here it goes!

Deathwarp, I'm in the same boat. What kind of sand did you use? Where did you get it? For anyone else... My FOWLR tank has been up and running w/ a CC substrate for a year now... Will the introduction of a Live Sand/play sand mix benefit me at all or should I just go with Play sand and let...

And you thought you were having a bad day?

bad luck, huh? I once had the front piece of glass literally separate at the seams of my 140G Freshwater a few years ago. We managed to save all the fish, but it sure was a mess... As far as public holidays go, my heater died last week while i was out of town killing all fish in my 46G...

    Is this Aiptasia?

    First SaltWater tank

sorry to bring back an ancient thread, but is this the general consensus? I believe I have plenty of live rock in my 46 Bowfront, but also a large biowheel that the return feed passes water over on the way back to the sump. Thanks for the info.

How Do You Convert From Crushed Coral To Live Sand?

noob here... have had my crushed coral substrate for the last year and it's been working great, as far as I can tell. PH can be a bit high sometimes, but water conditioner seems to take care of that. What are the advantages of sand? Can you mix sand/crushed coral? Thanks for the help.

    Blue Damsel and Bicolor Dottyback?

when i first introduced my royal gramma into my 38g, it fought with my blue damselfish. They've since settled down, but the royal gramma is still pretty feisty. it picks on my hermit crabs and chases around the blue damsel whereas it was opposite before.
