I was able to get a hospital/isolation tank set up for my injured cichlids, and was going to keep them in there until they got big enough to put in the main tank, currently they are about 2-2.5 inches on estimation, and still relatively young. I have a filter, wave maker, a some hiding places, heater, and lighting in the tank, only problem is it’s a 10 gallon. Would it be possible to keep them in there until they got a bit bigger or is it to small?

They are young but I know they grow almost to full size within 16-18 months. I am unsure of exactly how old they are right now at the moment though.

Would it be possible to do?

Edit: there is 3 in total.

You shouldn't need a wave maker in a 10 gallon tank. Your filter should be good enough for water circulation. Make sure you have a cycled filter in there. With no competition for food, they should grow rather quickly so shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure they don't pick on each other. (y)
