I have 2 fairly new african dwarf frogs. One seems perfectly happy and swims often. The other hides all the time and the slightest bit of noise scares him. Any suggestions on what to do? I hate to see the little guy so nervous.

I've never kept African Dwarf frogs, but I assume that they like to hide. Your dwarf frog might just need time to get used to his new surroundings. Some fish/amphibians get very startled over small things (For example, my festivums), so this might be normal behavior. Overall, I suggest that you monitor your frog's eating and interactions with other creatures and provide hiding places to make him more comfortable. I wish you best of luck!

Every animal is different. Because they are " fairly new", I would not be concerned yet. If this nervousness is stopping them from feeding, then you need to find a more quiet and secure place for the frog(s). For now, just make sure water quality remains high. (y)
