I'm looking for an airpump that will turn on when I lose power. I've found a number of standard air pumps with battery backup but they are always on which I don't want. I want an air pump that only turns on when the power is lost. Is anyone aware of a pump that functions like this?

Air pump for power outage?

I have not heard of such a device. If you’re around & aware of the outage, you could run the aerators by hooking them up to an inverter, or use a simpler battery operated bubbler, depending upon your tank size.

I get mixed up on the site sometimes I'm in one forum then don't know I went to another. It is hard to keep track of for me sometimes

For anyone interested I have found two air pumps that stay off when there is 110v present and turn on with backup batteries when the power is out;
Cobalt Aquatics and Penn Plax .
Cobalt is $$$. PenPlax is extremely noisy which doesn't really matter because I only need them to work when I am not home anyway. If I am home I will start the generator that I have for the fridge, freezer, creature comforts, etc.
