Are Liquid Pond Plant Fertilizers Good In Tanks?

Hi, I'm switching to live plants and want to know. Can i use liquid pond plant fertilizers in my tank? If not, what should i use?

I use dry pond ferts in my tank. Should works just the same as other dry ferts as long as you know what is in it.

Generally the pond ferts won't have ammonia (unlike many land ferts), so will be safe. You would need to know what is in the fert, & how much, so you can dose the tank appropriately. Do NOT dose based on the label ... that is meant for ponds & usu. is much higher than you need.

Make sure to check exactly what is in the fert, and be sure not to over-dose as it could harm the fish.

Otherwise should be fine.

K thanks will it react if there's medications in the water like maroxy? I'm breeding my bettas and i want to keep the plants healthy and the eggs and fish healthy but don't want to have a reaction.

Fertilizers are inorganic & should not cause problems with meds. <An exception may be chelated Iron ... the chelating agent might bind your drug.>
