I bought a 40 gal for 50 bucks an hour ago.
When I was feeding my citizens of the 18 gallon last night for the last meal snack; I noticed obvious growth in the whole lot!

I told them to stop growin til summer and they just are NOT listening!
With the three clowns all over 4 inches now (one just caught up with the knife almost at 6) and the knife at around 7 it has to be done...a bigger tank. The rummies are all stretchin out too, wretched pesty things.
Now half of them are an inch and a half.
I 'm think I'm gonna go back to flake!

WEll it means I'll be scarce in these here parts this week, I have to rearrange the whole house to put a tank that big up in a busy spot
(We keep all pets in a use zones so that somebody always can check a chart and maintain them. Plus why buy them if it wasn't their presence one wanted....?) :)

Waak! What a pain..in the sak-o-ryliac!

I had to arrange furniture, so I moved the 18 gallon with residents.
What a heavy be0t<h!! I drained it to barely enough to swim in, maybe half way. It was still heavy! When I put it on the coffee table I felt like I was bench pressin 100! But 9 gallons is only supposed to be like 60lbs, right? I must be gettin old.... :?
After that I disassembled the glass shelves on the aquarium stand and took it to the rumpus room office downstairs. BleH! Where is the strong man next door with a pickup when you need him? I could beat my neighbor up punchdrunk and one hand behind my back..that is no help!
I am taking a break and a beer for now. 8)
The two 10 gallons are now downstairs on the stand, now to move the ugly desk to the living room and set up the 40.
This is the part I remember not liking about all this!

empty....*smack forehead* "DOH!"
I should have drained more..I forgot about the gravel, rocks and stuff.
And I had to be smooth for the residents and for the glass coffee table (glass is strong but I think maybe dropping a fishtank corner on it would not be considered usual stress... )
I forgot the tank itself is pretty heavy too, my grandpa designed it out of airplane glass (it was shipped with a loose bowling ball inside once). I was only thinking about he water! No wonder I need a shot in my coffee this morning! now to pork down a couple donuts and finish this puppy!

Phwew! Finally done......
set up the desk, then put all the fish in the extra QT tanks.
Hard..I had to put the 18 down to 3 inches before I could catch the last tetras
And then wash all the new gravel, rearrange the power supplies, get the tank arranged and filled...waak! And you all know the rest.....
3 ft of space and they still pester the knife!
Go figger
