YALL! oh my gosh! i now have 10 baby mollies! ahh! do yall know if the pet stores take the baby fish?

kansaschick, you have had this happen before--what did you do with those babies? Did you keep them all? Have you upgraded your tank to a bigger one yet?

I havent upgraded my tank yet. I am saving right now. I have now got $30 ...what size tank would that get me? Im supposed to get my alowance some time this week so it'll put me at $50. I have tried to get my friends to take some fish...but they never want them. I called the regular pet stores like...Pets mart , pet co, and a LF named purrFect pets..but now they dont sell any fish. With my last batch of babies I just kept them. I guess I am going to have to get an upgrade on my tank. Well I got to go look at tanks so ill keep ya posted.

It is hard to find homes for mollies, since they are so prolific - if you have mollies it is not hard to get them to breed, it is hard to get them to stop!
Your best bet is to find a mom and pop type LFS, because you are going to certainly get more, and they might be more likely to take them.

most lfs get them but i dont think any chains take any.. 30$ can probally get you a 5 gallon set or a 10 gallon with a penguin mini or hood... 50$ is more reasonable. you can probally get a tank fmor wal mart (pretty cheap) or ive seen them cheaper at petsmart. their like 9.99$ at petsmart and get a penguin mini online (15.00$) about and a hood for like 20.00$ and if you had 10 more $ then you could get the only heater that looks sturdy and is pretty nice. i get the tetra whisper submersable heaters. they are about 15.00 for a 5-15 and 20.00 for a 10-30 gallon heater
