How expensive and difficult would it be to setup a .5-1 gallon aquarium with 1 anemonie (sp?) and a clown fish?

I was thinking this would be good practice for a possible future investment in something larger scale.

Is there a FAQ on coral, ie where to get it legally from some place that isn't pillaging a reef, care etc.

um i know very little bout keepin corals and anenomies but i heard they very hard to keep (anemonies) and i doubt u can em in a 1 gal, a 10 gal nano maybee but dont take my word for it. just hold till some of the more experenced pplz on here give ya an answer

peace

You picked just about the hardest setup you could to start up with!!!

:)

Small tanks (i.e. nanos), unfortunately aren't for the beginner. This is because they need constant attention. Water parameters can very widely in a nana in just hours. That is often why it is recommended for the beginner to purchase the largest tank they can afford. As you increase the water volume in the tank, the parameters cann't change as fast and constant attention would not need to be paid to your tank. In other words, you can actually enjoy it as a hobby and not as a science experiment... ;-)

Also, anomies aren't the hardiest and easiest animal to care for. Most people will recommend that you wait until you tank has matured at least a year before even putting one in the system.

I am looking through some of my old links, and I can't actually find anything on FAQ's for corals. It may be because I am a bit tired and I my eyes are wanting to co-operate. I'll let someone else see if they can give you some good links.
