i just got a new berlin and i hooked it up to a rio 2100. i bought the skimmer out of the paper and it did not come with instructions and i cant keep it for over flowing out the top and the two little tubes that are over top of the return lines. can sombody please help

Is it over flowing with foam/bubbles or water? Try turning the little set screw (white plastic) to tighten it all the way down, the open it gradually, waiting several minutes before opening it more. You can expect (if you've been running skimmerless for any length of time) for it to over skime for a few days, then it will settle down some. For the first couple of weeks, you'll probably need to adjust it every day, until you get it fine tuned.

it is over flowing with water. the tank is new and not even full yet i just turned the pump on to check it out. i have tried messing with that little knob and it did not seem to do anything.

Hmm is there anyway to get a pic that shows the problem, I don't think I'm understanding. Either the venturi needs help, or there is a piece missing.

I just setup my 105 gallon tank and I have a Berlin good for up to 250 gallons and its in my sump and I turned the pump on and no "foam action" is happening . Is the foam only occure when LR is in the tank or fish . Please help

if it is a new tank with no rock or fish there is nothing to skim yet that is why there is also a break in period when you do put it on that is a week or two if i remember correctly

Are you getting any bubbles at all in the skimmer body? If not, either the venturi is clogged or the air valve is shut. If you are getting bubbles in the skimmer body, and it's overflowing, the air may be turned up too high. IME, Berlins tend to "run away" for a few days after you start them up. They are great skimmers though and will do you a good job once you get it adjusted.
