I run CO2 in two of my aquariums. I ran out of CO2. My fault I read the gauge wrong. I bought a new tank of CO2 and restarted it.Now one of the tanks that the CO2 ran out has Blackbeard algae. Sickening. So I know of the peroxide putting it in the aquarium. 15mg per 10gal. I did that. It have only been 3 days but it seems like I have of the BBA. What is a good way to get rid of it. Or do I ride it out and the tank will readjust.

If you are getting BBA because you ran out of CO2 then you have too much light and too many nutrients in the water. You can control the nutrients with water changes. You can control the light hours with a timer. Best way to get rid of what is there is to physically remove it. Scrub down any woods or rocks with BBA to get rid of spores. Wipe off what you can off of any plants. The more you remove, the faster your tank can recover. Once you have done the water changes and reduced the light hours and physically removed what you could, then the CO2 can help keep whatever you missed from getting a foot hold again. If you depend on just the CO2, it will take some time for the algae to die off naturally which will produce more nutrients in the tank and start the whole problem again. :^s So it's up to you how fast you want to get rid of it.
