i just recently noticed that there are pink fuzzy dots growing on my (brackish water) filters can someone tell me what it is and or if it is harfull to my fish

Dots? sounds like flake food landed there and began rotting..
harmful well decomposing food turns to ammonia..and it can open a door for dangerous cynobacteria. So yeah, you should wipe it off.
