Bubble wall problems

Hello all, i am kinda new to the fish tank enthusiest, and am loving it. but lately i am having alot of problems with my bubble wall. i have a 46in bubble wall. i had it hooked up to a 30gal air pump, and it wasnt working fully, and i thought it was the pump being too small. So i went out and bought a 80gal pump(reminder i have a 55gal tank), and now it blows bubbles all the way from side to side, then it stops and pulsates from side to side, then goes back to full again. i really want it to be on full all of the time, but dont know what to do. all the connectors are tight, and it is level. My air pump has two air spouts coming out of it, and i have two air hoses, one hooked to each end. is it maybe the hose is too small, not delivering enough air???? I would really like some info back from anybody. Thanks

That sounds goofy. How was it working (or not) with the smaller pump? The only thing I can thing of is your pump is oscillating in some form or another. Can you turn off the other air spout and only have the one end connected to the bubble tube? That is, only have one nozzle sending air into the tube, and the other nozzle not blowing any air.

it really wasnt working at all with the smaller pump. i only had one end hooked up with that pump, and that was the only end that was working. The even funnier thing is, if i pinch off one hose for about ten seconds or so, then let it go, the whole bubble wall will run for about 5 minutes, then it will go back to acting up. i dont know what to do, i think just let it run, and do what it wants. i dont know.

Im having the same problem with my bubble wall.

Check for any water in the tubing. If there is none, take a pin and make a few new holes in the actual 'bubble wall'. It's worth a shot, right?

Maybe consider buying two smaller bubble walls (like two 20 inchers) and hooking each up to it's own output on the pump? Not exactly a fix-it type solution but it would work.
