I can't indentify this. I've got a few of them in my tank now, and I kind of like them. I'm just curious if they're macro-algaes or if they're corals. My wife said she saw them "snotting," so I'm guessing they're corals of some sort?

Looks like caterpillar weed (Neomeris annulatus) it, IME, is a short lived marine macro algae, not a pest, but doesn't seem to last long enough to be beneficial either.

I'm also curious about this stuff. Look at the webbing on the back of this thing. It's really not very attractive, and I'd like to get rid of it, or whatever is causing it.

Oh, welll. I can't get the second picture to show up for some reason. Anyway, it's just this spider web looking junk all over one of my rocks. It's kinda gross looking and I'd like to get rid of it.

Those algaes do seem to be short-lived. They seem to sprout up and about a month later, I see them fallen off into the sand. Not bothering me in the least, thusfar. I think they're pretty cool, actually.
