I finally have some OK pictures posted of the tank and fish. Thanks for all your help in getting this tank established the right way! I would no doubt either have wasted some money or worse yet, lost some fish without the advice of many of you here.

Thanks and enjoy the photos.

Oh awesome saberry! Thats a georgeous tank (I'm loving that big white skull looking thing; what is it??) and the fish look great :) Lots of room to move and good combination of colors.

Thank you so much - for the help as well as the compliments.

The skull looking thing is just a white rock - not sure exactly what its called, maybe someone else can help with that. Most of those types of rocks had lots of little holes. I chose this one because I knew most of my fish, at least for now would be able to swim through.

I also plan on getting a small hollow log before I add the loaches to the tank.

Well done saberry, Great looking tank.

I sell a rock like the one you have in your tank, to me it looks like ocean rock. but you might call it something differant in the states.

Nice tank. I love the rock background and the slate that you put in. The fish are awsome colors also. That tank rocks!!

Thanks for the help and the compliments. I have to admit, I'm pretty pleased with the results - no doubt to all your help and advice and, I think, Bio-Spira.

Shy Pleco

As you may have noticed, the Pleco I keep mentioning is not seen in any of my pictures. This is because he is always on the bottom portion of the glass on the left hand side of the tank behind the large tank. If I come into the room after the lights are off and turn on a lamp, I can usually find him somewhere else in the tank, but he always darts right back to his hiding place.

The last time I had a tank, I had a Pleco but he was not nearly so shy.

With my other fish, I would just add a little food to the tank everytime I came in the room and within two days, they were out and about and glad to see me.

I have tried the same with algae tabs - not as frequently though, but have never seen the Pleco even acknowledge it was in the tank.

He is actually the largest fish in the tank so I wouldn't think it would be a dominance thing.

Any tips to help get him out of hiding? I don't expect my fish to always be out in the open - that's why I put int he plants and rocks, but it would be nice to see him swim around from time to time.
