Do you put it right in a clip?

You can put it on a clip or just wedge it into a few crevices in the rock

it serves 3 purposes in my main tank
1.) it makes for nice decoration
2.) cuts down nitrates
3.) feeds your fish naturally

I keep the bulk of it in my breeder tank till I need a fresh piece
I raise pods,brine shrimp,mysiss shrimp
so it also serves a purpose in the breeder tank
houses the pods ,brine shrimp, mysiss
cuts nitrates and feeds ect
every clipping I feed my fish is packed with all the goodies they love
it also helps cut back on your feeding bill each month
my average feeding bill now is only about $10 every 2 months
compared to the $200. it used to cost every 2 months
since I have connivers ,herbivores, omnivores I have it all covered

this is a pict of my tank using macros

you can see it dresses up the tank
ignore the carbon sock in tank I use them when I clean the tank
no its not part of my decoration

I'm sorry but how the hell did you spend 200$ on food a month. Are you feeding fresh seafood or something? I bought a bag of frozen mixed seafoods like 3 moths ago and I still have some and it cost me like 10$ for a 10lb bag of shrimp, clams, fish, shrimp, scallops. I don't think macro algaes look good in tanks and I think they topically start to over grow and make everything look like hell. Personally I would try a different color or type of dried seaweed.also maybe just feed brine shrimp gut loaded with sprillia or w/e it's called.

as for macros in the tank to each is own I like it!! it adds color and fish enjoy munching on it
Pods were $40. per bogo I averaged 6000 a month
brine was 12.99 oz 3 or 4 oz a month
mysiss $25.99 per 60 count averaged around 180 a month
I'll let you do the math
I feed live foods it = healthier fish (y)
yes it was costly but I now breed them so it costs me about $10. every 2 months
I also use frozen and pellets
but prefer the live foods since it helps keep tank cleaner along with the macros

I think the original problem was that the coral stopped eating nori?

Well if its still eating other foods, looks normal and is not acting eratically i suppose its a heathy fish! Coral Beauty's are mainly omnivors anyway!

Thanks for all the input, I thought they needed algae, I'll look for the brine wrapped stuff

My coral beauty is 15 years old. He has eaten nori on and off over the years. Kind of like how a dog eats grass now and then. But in general, they are meat eaters. He inspects everything.
