it looks like my toadstool is shedding, im guessing this isnt good, what can i do for it?

It is perfectly natural and healthy for toadstools and leathers in general to shed a film regularly. It helps them rid themselves of bacteria and algae and detritus etc...During their shed you should direct some good waterflow at them to help them remove the "skin".
