So my son's CPO just molted a couple of weeks ago, and now he seems to be molting again. When he is molting, he hides under this rock in the tank. For some reason this molt seems to be lasting awhile. It's been a few days he's been under there! I gently lifted the rock 2 days ago to check on him and he was under the rock and seemed to be okay. Also when I checked on him his shell came out from under the rock and it seemed to be one solid piece. But he's still hiding under there today and does not come out.

Should I be worried?

They hide because when they molt, they are their most vulnerable to predation. That's totally normal. They have no idea that you aren't going to add something that could eat them. I'd just make sure you have enough calcium in the water to help their exoskeletons harden. (y)
