I woke up this morning to find my youngest granddaughter put crayons in 2 fish tanks. The one with my convict fry seem to be ok, but I'm worried about the other.

My 55 gallon tank has 2 oscars, a jack dempsy (sp), and a koi. None of these fish would eat their food this morning which leads me to believe they ate some of the crayons. I know the crayons are non-toxic to humans but what about fish?

Thanks in advance,
Kathy

try feeding blanched and peepled peas incase they did injest some crayons. That will help "stuff" get moving.

Good luck!

Oh goodness! I second rubysoho on the peas. They could help if the fish are constipated from eating crayons. Hopefully the fish are just a little freaked out from the activity in their tank this morning and they will soon go back to eating and acting normal. Those fish will eventually get too big for the 55 IMO.

Koi are generly thought of as pond fish.. some people bring there koi's in over winter in a big tank to help them survive the cold (in colder areas)
