Would it be by any chance be a Dalmation Molly, if it is it's a livebearer. There are several places your baby's will be, they could be hinding in your gravel, behind ornaments, plants etc.. anywhere that they will feel safe.
The other place they could be in in the belly's of what ever fish are in the tank.
The female that is giving birth will also eat her young.
With most live bearing baby's they will hide until they feel it is safe for them to come out, Molly babys are quite big so i don't think you will have to wait long.
One thing that I did when my black lyertail molly had her babies in the tank was to turn the light off and sit with a lamp nearby turned on, just enough light that you can see in the tank. After about a half an hour of "night" time the little ones will start to venture out from their hiding places. I then will net the little ones out and place them in a safe place, breeding trap or grow out tank. You may try this for a few days to make sure you catch as many as you can. I ended up catching 22 fry from 1 birthing. This idea also works on platy fry also.
