I found this out the hard way but i'll tell you this so that maybe the other people starting out in SW know this before it happens.

If you have a 20 gal or smaller tank i'm totally against the idea of mixing maroon clownfish, as I introduced another one following instructions (smaller size, same species ect) they tore into each other and one of them died. I'm treating the other one with melafix right now and it looks ok for him but besides losing an expensive fish it was a pretty sweet fish to lose also.

Maroon clown fish are extremely territorial and can only be housed as a mated pair in a small tank. The male alone will be okay in a 20 gal. tank but the females will get quite large needing IMOP at least a 55 gal. tank.
Sorry you had to find out the hard way. If you have any questions or doubts about adding anything to your tank ask here as we have made our mistakes and hopefully you wont have to go through this again.

In regards to the situation, when you mention "smaller size" are we talking considerably smaller or just a bit smaller? The idea is that if you add a tiny one in with a larger one, there is not as much of a chance that there will be a territorial battle (smaller one is not perceived as a threat, larger one is too big to try fighting with).
