Do i need to remove the pot on plants

Whenever i buy plants for my aquarium they come in small pots with wet soil which i usually remove , i was wondering if i could keep this on the plant and keep it in the pot i quite
like the look of a potted plant.Would this be a problem with sand substrate.

There are conflicting theories on this but the plant farmers suggest not keeping them in the pots.

It's rockwool, not soil. I'd remove it.

Hello. Remove the rock wool. The roots need room to grow and by removing the wool material, the roots get more oxygen. I, for one, don't want the anything in my fish tank that doesn't contribute to the overall health of the tank.
