My ram is looking weak and is hiding in the shadows. It tries to take the feed but I see most of it getting back out. What must be wrong with the fish? How can I cure it and does it look like an ich on its head? Please help!!!
The fish looks emaciated so not in good shape. Because it's a bottom dwelling fish, it's most likely it has intestinal worms. The issue on his head also looks like another type of worm but the picture is not really clear enough or close up enough to make a definitive diagnosis. For the intestinal worms, you will need to treat the fish in a separate hospital tank with no substrate with a dewormer like Praziquantel, Fenbendazole or Levamisole.
