everybody say apisto!

Well, I finally got my apistos! They're a. borelli, 1 male, 2 females. Very very shy, I almost never see em. I'm getting rid of my rainbowfish soon, which will help. the rainbowfish are the biggest things in there and try to rule the roost a bit. If they don't come out soon, I'll put them in the 10 gal. I've done my research, people say a trio of borelli's will be ok (until breeding begins) in a 10. I'll try to get picts up soon. I was just way excited, thought i'd spread the news.

Ooo!! I have fallen in lurve with dwarf cichlids recently. Borelli's are especially pretty - I'm jealous!! Looking forward to pics

Those fish are way cool! Can't wait to see your photos. I think I will have to start researching...are these commonly found at the LFS? (I don't usually look at the cichlids when I am there)

no, i haven't commonly found them at any of my lfs, but when i asked, i got one to order 'em for me. they are by far the shyest fish i've ever had, but i've heard that most borelli have really great personality. my mail doesn't appear to be doing that well at the moment. the other fish freak him out too much. I'm going to put him with the 2 females in the 10 gal to see how they do.
