So is this a fat deposit? Someone on Reddit said it was but I want to make sure, they said it’s nothing no to worry about and that it’s just in a weird spot. What do y’all think? (Also I have a video but can’t seem to figure out how to post it)

I'm not sure it's a " fat deposit" but it does look like a tumor but in either case, there's nothing you can do for either past keeping the water clean and making sure the fish has a good varied diet. As long as it doesn't turn red or start to bleed or get a white fuzz on it, the fish should be fine. The only problem that it can become is if it interferes with the fish's ability to eat. At that point, the only real option is surgery ( which is not practical ) or euthanasia.

Hope this helps. (y)
