The broccoli that I put in my tank for my new plecos has been eyed by 2 other unhabitants of my tank:

Those fishies know their stuff! Too cool

I have had zero luck getting my girls to eat zuchinni, no matter what my plecos do, but this pic might get a little more broccoli down the hatch in this house, LOL!

Thanks for the photo, Lori :D

They are both blue gouramis.

The bigger one is an adult female. The smaller one is a juvenile male.

I put some broccoli in with my baby ancistrus too. Surprisingly, the cory in there hasn't even gone near it. However, I think every snail in the tank has gone over to investigate.

You can if you want. For the broccoli, I out it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, cooled it off and then put it in. You can also try zuchini and cucumber as well...I don't nuke those though.

I feed my fish peas. Nuke them (the peas, not the fish ) for 15-20 seconds, then squeeze to get the fleshy parts out of the skin (the skin is indigestible). Depending on the size of the fish you may need to break it up more. Vegetables are great vacation 8) feeders and help prevent constipation.

ALL my fish love peas - especially the bettas.

The only thing that concerns me about fresh veggies is their tendency to get slimy and covered with fungus over time. I feed in the AM and remove whatever is uneaten when I get home from work.
