Feeding Dwarf lion

Yesterday I purchased a fuzzy dwarf lion. At my lfs, they were feeding it ghost shrimp and guppies. I would like to wean him off of these foods and feed him something prepared, but how should I go about this? Any input will be helpful.

I would try to use thin tongs and jiggle the food in front of it to simulate life.

Thank you. I will try this. Also, I have noticed him eating some of the flakes which I feed my wrasses if they float by him. Is this normal for lions?
