Hello i started a fishless cycle and just want to check if im doing it right, my LFS said something that doesn’t make sense to me “add ammonia once and wait for it to zero then add fish”
From my knowledge reading im supposed to keep ammonia at 2.0 till tank is able to convert it to 0 within 24 hours
Attached is my schedule for now
Using Tropic Marin Nitribiotic to cycle
Thanks in advance

That's pretty much it. Add 2ppm of ammonia. Wait for it to reduce to zero ammonia and nitrite. Add another 2ppm ammonia. Wait for it to reduce to zero ammonia and nitrite. Etc etc etc etc. When you can add 2ppm ammonia and ammonia and nitrite is zero 24 hours later you are cycled.

This typically takes 6 to 8 weeks.

First time I've ever heard of a LFS advising on a fishless cycle. Wow.
