Floating particles In Water

I have alot of small debris floating in my water column. It's so annoying I can never get my water clear. I have a overflow box going to my sump but and it cleans the surface but does nothing to get the stuff out of the water column.

Do you have a filter sock in the sump?

Yea but it seems like the pumps just blow it past the over flow and just fills the water column.

The water from the dt should fall/pass through the filter sock as it enters your sump. Do you have a picture if your sump setup?
