These little pink cones have been steadily getting bigger for a week or so now. Can anyone tell me what they are? They look like ant mounds.

The ones by the button polyps, look like new polyps. The one by the Gonipora, could also be a polyp, but the goni is stinging it and it is not quite as pink as the others.

BTW, what is thet behind the Goni??? Looks almost like a beer bottle....

yep, they would be heaters. the fish arent old enough to drink yet.

Well, I didn't seriously think it was a beer bottle. I guess I was thrown, cause it is laying in the rock work, rather than on the glass, or in the sump...

next question: Why is the heater laying in the rockwork?

actually, the heaters are on the glass about 6 inches behind the rockwork. It just looks closer due to the angel of the camera. The tank is 2 feet from front to back and there is alot of room around all of the rock.

HEHEHE, well from the bang up job of identifying the heaters and their placement, maybe we should get a second opinion on the pink cones... :biglol:
