My platy had 8 fry this weekend and has drastically decreased in size, leading me to believe she is done giving birth. But I noticed there is a little bump that looks like it could be a fry that is stuck. It was there all day yesterday with no change. Today it’s a little bigger with a red spot on the end. Any thoughts on what it could be? Or if I should be concerned? 1st pic is her yesterday and 2nd pic is from today.

Unfortunately your pictures get too blurry when blown up to better see the area of concern but it may just be some afterbirth material or a little poop. I would suggest if the material is still there the day after her feeding, I'd consider giving her some Epsom Salt baths to help relax the muscles to help her shed whatever that is. To do a bath, in a separate container, dissolve Epsom Salt ( not aquarium salt) at a rate of 1 tablespoon per gallon of tank water and place the fish in the bath for 10-15 minutes. If one bath does not solve this, try doing 2 baths about 10-12 hours apart on the next day.
Hope this helps (y)

Thanks! I’ll try the epsom salt bath. Here’s a better picture.
