Well, I am VERY close to starting a 29 gallon Glosso tank with cardinal tetras. I am pulling myself in two considering whether to go for rock or driftwood (if you have opinions to go for either of the two.. please tell them to me :) ) - But anyway I was wondering if people have to prune the glossos from the rock or driftwood... or do they simply not grow onto the rock or driftwood? Thanks!

Also what other plants mix well with glosso? I want to also have red ludwigia... but not sure if they will behave around another... thanks!

Man, you are creating a dream tank. I love glosso tanks. I would staple the glosso to the driftwood and just let it grow onto the rockwork. I think the red ludwigia would be ok, but IMO a total glosso tank is the coolest FW setup you can do.

Thanks man I like hearing that.. my fiance looked at a picture with a sweet set up with just about all glosso.. and she said it was ugly! "it looks like under a dirty pond" I just about broke the engagment with this woman...

Hang in there with the woman, she will fall in love with the tank. I think if you are to do the glosso thing, try and get a lot of glosso from the LFS and place it all around the tank. Then in about 4 months it should be totally covered, trust me it is worth the wait. One of my dream tanks is a 29 gallon all glosso tank with lots of driftwood, corkbark backing and about 30 neon tetras to top it all off.

I am also thinking about making a glosso tank out of my 10 gallon, almost like a prep to the 29 gallon... should I wait until I get my 29 gallon done, or is trying it in the 10 gallon alright? Figure I am gunna need the pactice anyway :)

Definitely driftwood, as long as the kH isn't too high, it will help soften the water and add slight color to the water, both of which is benificial to the tetras.

Thanks shaw, the pretty much decided that part then, where is the best place to get Glossos online? None of the LFS have it here I am sorry to say

I got mine from fishvet.com. You can get a bunch for 2.50. I saw them at a LFS for 11.99 a quarter bunch.
