Glue, putty stuff

ok, I remember you folks talking about fragging and securing stuff to rocks. Cant seem to find the posts that spoke of what was used. I know about the gel superglue. Mark had mentioned some stuff to secure to rocks and I cant remember what it was. I have heard people talk about 2 part epoxy and some kind of putty. Can anyone give me brand names to get so I dont put toxic mess in the tank?

I am getting tired of the lawnmower blennie tossing my corals, so especially the stuff that will glue the rock to the main liverock.

I just received it it is fromhttp://reeffanatic.comit is called twolittle fishies 2oz pink epoxy. Seems to work on my little pieces.

I got mine from www.aquatictech.com . It mixes pink and is called Aqua Stick underwater epoxy. Works great too!

Thanks guys, but I was thinking this other stuff was available at Lowes and Home Depot stores.

Not that I know of Hara. I would suspect that most epoxy has similar makeup, but I would be hesitant to try anything that was not certified aquarium safe. The stuff I got from Aquatic Technologies was about $5.00 a stick. I glued all the unsteady pieces of LR in the 180 down with one stick and still had a small piece left...this stuff goes a long ways. After looking more closely at the stick I have left, I saw that it is the same stuff pipermurphy mentioned...made by Two Little Fishies. The "no strong odor" claim is bull though...I think it stinks pretty bad while you're mixing it 8O .

I have used Z-spar (got it from Home Depot) in the past with good results. Now I mostly use superglue gel.

quicktite brand super glue has been recommended to me on several occasions. also i've heard you can use a substance called plumber's putty, which a friend of mine is trying out right now. i don't know about that stuff though.

Someone just told me about "aquamend" found at home depot as well...we should compile a list and make a sticky of the suggestions.

I'll look for that next time I'm at HD. If they have it here, I'll give it a try. You're right...that would make a good sticky. BTW...really cool signature!

This is what I use too. Got it at HD. Reef safe (I tested it in my reef) and coraline will grow on it.
