What is the best thing to feed a gourami??? I ahave been using flakes but they dont seem to interested. Any ideas?

Mine eat flake but I've also seen them nibble on shrimp pellets and 'floating crumbles'

Gourami

Fish are just like dogs. When they get hungry enough they'll eat it. Try a few different brands of flakes and granules as well as frozen bloodworms. I guarantee they'll eat them, unless the fish is not healthy. - Guppyman

Mine love bloodworms, and eat any flake food I give them. I use Omega One flakes (veggie), and they love that. It may be just the flake food you are using. I have also used brine shrimp flakes (ocean nutrition), and they liked that also. Mine will even pick at zuchinni when I put it in the tank for my pleco! Variety is the key.

I'm getting ready to go to the pet store and what I had figured on doing is trying some shrimp pellets. I have a qtank and 2 dwarf gourami and 5 small neons. The neons wont come to the top an eat they wait till it starts dropping to the bottom and its kind of the same thing with the gourami....they just dont seem very bright!lol My other fish just about jump out of the tank to eat......its like there slow. My other neons are the same way.....dinner is almost all ate before they even relize or decide to come to the top.

Little neons probably don't need to eat much anyways. To my knowledge only the larger tetras (Beunos aires, in particular) are aggressive feeders.

Try crushing some of the flakes between your fingers to almost powder form. Neons don't usually eat from the top or bottom. They wait and catch it when it's in the middle. You will probably be pleasantly surprised at the response when the flakes are smaller.
