hi.. im very new to this hobby.. i just got a 55 gallon tank about 2 weeks ago... i live in the virgin islands so i went out and got some fresh live rock for the tank...for the first time tonight, i noticed a small dot blink in the tank, so i turned out everything i could to pitch black and these things were going crazy... im sure somebody here knows what these things are.. and how can i keep them alive..also, how many sea urchins is too many to keep in a 55 gallon tank... i have two baby sargeant majors and some type of hogfish which is about 3.5 inches....

Welcome to AquariumAdvice.com :)

Typically it will be amphipods. They will do this in order to attract mates. I have seen it a few times myself and have been able to identify them. Might not be the case with your's but a fairly good possibility.

Cheers
Steve

I was gonna say, in the stuff I ordered in the amphipods I noticed some that where more green than clear
