Growing Xenia

I have several xenia colonies that are growing like weeds. Some of them have actually formed two base stalks connected to one head. the proplem is that the two stalks are attached to two different rocks. My question...can i use a scaple to cut one on the stalks away from the head? Will it begin to grow a new head? Thanks!

yup, you can cut off any head and transplant it and the stalk will grow a new head.

Cut that sucker!!!!!!!!! It will be fine. They grow very nicely and are very resilient. Mine like higher alkalinity and salinity and love Phytoplankton.

I got 2 heads from mrrrkva in Feb. I now have close to 20 heads and just gave three or four of them away.

I have flushed more than I can remember. Still have a bunch. You can't hurt this stuff.
